Over the past ten years LSRG has evolved to become an open rugby club with not only Dutch students but also alumni, international students and professionals joining the club. Their coaches are ex-pats (Iain and Keith being English and Scottish respectively) and the training is done in English. Training is on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 19.00, and games are played on Sundays. They have two teams - the 1st XV and the 2nd XV. Both teams have a dedicated physio.

The rugby season runs from August to March, with training continuing until April.
LSRG is, just like any other rugby club, very social with many events throughout the course of the year. After the games they socialize at Cafe L'esperance and watch international rugby at The North End. They also go on trips; this year to Scotland.
Furthermore, they keep a strong bond with their ex-players. To facilitate a social platform for their ex-players and benefactors and primarily to ensure the continuity of LSRG, they have established a foundation.

LSRG is a sports club not only for students but also for people working within the Leiden Bio Science Park area and invite you to play and train with them. It is even imaginable that an "LSRG BioScience"  team can be created with supporters, friends and family joining and to become part of the LSRG family!
