Sponsor the cyclists of Alpe d'Huzes and support the Dutch KWF cancer foundation

On 6 and 7 June 2012 we, employees of Applied Microspheres and Distrilab, will cycle for 30 million euro’s!  Alpe d'HuZes is the cycling event where the participants individually or in a team, will climb the France mountain Alpe d'Huez six times on one day. Not for “fun”, but to collect money for the Dutch KWF cancer foundation.


In the first edition of Alpe d’HuZes in 2006 we cycled for over 370,000 euro’s. In 2007 for more than 1 million euro. In 2008, the new record amount was more than 3.6 million and in 2009 already nearly 6 million. In 2010 again we dubbled the amount to 12.1 million while the fantastic final amount of Alpe d'HuZes 2011 was 20.1 million euro!!

The Foundation Alpe d'HuZes maintains the following strict policy: all gifts go for 100% to our research fund. With the collected money the research and rehabilitation programme A-CaRe started, by which cancer patients can recover better and faster. An important and unique research which has to bring rehabilitation for all cancer patients within hand range.

Because our mission is: To facilitate and inspire others to life good, happy and healthy with cancer. Giving up is no option!

We would like to ask you to sponsor the Alpe d’HuZes 2012 edition. Together with almost one thousand other participants our cycling team of eight cyclists collects money for this great mission. The Foundation Alpe d'HuZes makes it possible to put logo’s of sponsors, which are good for at least 1.000 euro, on our cycling team shirt. Applied Microspheres, located on the BioPartner Center, already promised to be our shirt sponsors. Of course we want to invite you to be one of our shirt sponsor as well.

June 7th will be our big day! We all eight will do our utmost to cycle six times up mountain to show our spirit, because we enjoy mountains, but for the most, on this day our mission is ”giving up is no option!”
