Cells meet industry, towards a broader perspective on cellular ageing research

Start:
28 February 2012
Location:
Grand Café de Stal, Darwinweg 1, Leiden
Contact:

Human ageing is accompanied with detrimental loss of homeostasis, leading to a certain death. The progression of individual ageing processes is heterogeneous in nature. The understanding of the ageing process is not well developed; however, multiple fragments of the jigsaw have been identified and now it is time to put pieces together. Industry needs to be involved to follow up leads from basic research, to ultimately prolong healthy ageing.

The aim of this symposium is to stimulate the cooperation between industry and academy.

Group of interest: ageing researchers, basic scientists, industrial partners
