'From innovation to commercialisation'

The Dutch Life Sciences & Health Conference is the main event for the Dutch life sciences sector, offering networking and partnering possibilities and lectures on the latest trends and developments in life sciences. Almost 300 representatives from the Dutch life sciences sector, such as business executives, entrepreneurs, scientists and investors, will attend the congress. The central theme of the 6th Dutch Life Sciences & Health Conference is ‘From Innovation to Commercialisation’.
One of the biggest challenges for (start-up) life sciences companies is to choose the right commercial strategy. The choices made at the earlier stages may have a major impact later on during the development of the company. In particular, changes in regulatory systems, reimbursement systems and the commercial landscape are not always foreseen.

More information about the programme is available on the congress website www.dutchlshconference.com. Check the website on a regular basis for updates.

Keynote speakers
Cooperating with rather than directly competing with a would-be competitor can increase the likelihood of successfully commercialising a new technology. Whether to compete or cooperate with established firms is one of the most fundamental choices a life sciences  start-up has to make. These fundamental strategic choices and the benefits for start-up companies and academic institutions will be addressed by two of the largest pharmaceutical companies: Novo Nordisk and Merck Serono. In addition, Philips Research will talk about developments in the commercialisation of innovations  in the medical device industry.
