During the last Life Sciences Café of this year, there will be a short introduction about the Science Career Event which will take place on March 2, 2011. Furthermore, two companies that established recently at the Leiden Bio Science Park present themselves.

Rahu Catalytics: a spin-out company from Unilever that focuses on the development and sales of oxidation catalysts for various industrial applications. Application of such catalysts by the end-users leads to energy saving, reduction of the chemicals used, or to substitution to cleaner processes. Examples of areas under investigation include textile/cotton bleaching, chemical oxidations and paint/coatings.

Miltenyi Biotec: Founded in 1989, grown to over 1100 employees in 18 countries. The company develops, manufactures, and sells more than 1000 products and services; particularly in the fields of cell biology, immunology, regenerative medicine, and molecular biology. Miltenyi Biotec is committed to the advancement of scientific understanding and medicine by providing products and services for biomedical research and cellular therapy.

To attend our Life Sciences Cafés on a regular basis, it is necessary to become a member. Membership costs € 100 (ex. VAT) per year for company representatives and € 50 (ex. VAT) for members from knowledge institutions.
