Leiden Bio Science Park welcomes established life science companies and offers ample space for settling and future expansion. There is room to take up residence in the existing park area, and there are opportunities to settle in the new 36 hectare park area under development.

Focus on life sciences 

Interested companies or institutes need to fit in the criteria. The plots at Leiden Bio Science Park will be available only for companies or institutes working in life science or related to the life science area.   

Available space per category 

The expanded park will have plots in five different categories, three of which are for business purposes (categories 1 - 3) and two for ancillary development (category 4 and 5). 

1. Life science laboratories, production and/or distribution, supporting offices ~ 65.000 m2
2. Life science laboratories with offices
   ~ 177.000 m2 
3. Life science offices only
   ~ 140.000 m2 
4. Ancillary development by the University
   ~175.000 m2
5. Ancillary development of appartments, shops and recreational facilities
   ~ 200.000 m2  

Plots are directly available at the Sylvius area and the Oegstgeest area. The Sylvius Area offers approximately 10.000 m2 floor space for companies needing production and/or distribution facilities, laboratories and supporting offices.

The Oegstgeest area (Location New Rhijngeest South) has over 130.000 m2 floor space available for companies that need a combination of laboratories and supporting offices. Also 55.000 m2 floor space is available for companies that need solitaire office space is.

Ancillary development

Ancillary development will increase the quality and user-friendliness of Leiden Bio Science Park. About a third of the new park area (in the Boerhaave, Gorleaus, LUMC and entrance areas) has been reserved for shops, hotels, a congress centre, residences, short stay facilities and venues for academic functions.
