The Bètabanenmarkt is an annual job and information market for bachelors, masters, PhD students and post-docs of the Faculty of Science of the University of Leiden. The purpose of the event is to stimulate the contact between the students and  companies and agencies, so that the students can prepare their selves on life after the university. The event will be held on the 14th of March in the Gorleaus building on the bio science park of Leiden.
 

On April 2 and 3, 2012, another basic GMP course will be held which has been developed in collaboration with Life Science companies that are established at the Leiden Bio Science Park and Centre Bioscience and Diagnostics, Professional University Hogeschool Leiden. The basic GMP course is part of a comprehensive program.

On April 1 and 4, 2011, another basic GMP course will be held which has been developed in collaboration with Life Science companies that are established at the Leiden Bio Science Park and Centre Bioscience and Diagnostics, Professional University Hogeschool Leiden. The basic GMP course is part of a comprehensive program. Depending on education and experience, the Basic, Standard or Advanced GMP course can be followed.

In the biotechnology sector the demand for employees in a company can fluctuate strongly over time. Because the Leiden Bio Science Park and the surrounding region cover a large labor market, employers could create flexibility by interchanging employees for these highs and lows in their demand.

In a joint effort to increase knowledge, competences and skills of employees, several courses are being conducted for employees of all organizations at the Leiden Bio Science Park. A successful pilot study has been done for a course that increases the knowledge about GMP procedures.

Bij de nationale Vakkanjer wedstrijden 2010 heeft, onze, Kees van Oosten vriend en vijand verbaasd door met twee gouden medailles naar huis te gaan.

Op  4, 5 en 6 maart heeft het Leiden Bio Science Park in samenwerking met diverse bedrijven, kenniscentra en brancheorganisaties meegedaan aan Skills Masters 2010.

Zeven medewerkers van Centocor ontvingen maandag 15 februari het diploma laborant van het MLO van ROC Leiden.

The career event for young researchers organized by the Postdoc Career Development Initiative (PCDI). The annual Postdoc Retreat is PCDI's major and also best-known activity and will take place from 21- 23 April 2010.

Het opzetten van het ExpatCenter Leiden is in volle gang. De opening staat gepland op 21 januari a.s.

Het Centrum voor Bioscience en Diagnostiek van de Hogeschool Leiden heeft het cursusaanbod van 2010 in een nieuwe brochure opgenomen.

Graag nodigen wij Human Resources Management medewerkers van de bedrijven en/of instellingen op het Leiden Bio Science Park uit voor de 2e Human Resources Management bijeenkomst op 10 december aanstaande in Hotel Holiday Inn.

Het docentenstage project op het Leiden Bio Science Park is een groot succes. Al meer dan 20 docenten van het middelbare en hogere laboratorium onderwijs in Leiden hebben een korte stage gevolgd bij diverse life sciences bedrijven en instellingen. Docenten doen hierbij ervaring op met de nieuwste technieken, procedures en apparatuur welke toegepast worden in de Life Sciences sector. De opgedane ervaringen worden door de docenten gebruikt om de aansluiting van het onderwijs op de beroepspraktijk te waarborgen.
